The Inquisitor approached them, Anna could finally tell that it was a woman. She had fluffy light brown hair in a bob, golden eyes, soft features, and wore the same shiny armor Ken once had.

“Halt!” The woman called out in an forced authoritative voice, like someone anxious on their first day of a new job.

Ken didn’t slow his pace, and gripped the sword tighter.

“I said halt! By order of the Holy Sanctum I command you!”

Ken gulped, and did as he was told. He’d have to play his cards right and avoid suspicion. Anna hid her face down against her chest, in her hair.

The woman rode closer, eyeing them up and down. “We’ve had a report of an oathbreaker carrying a fugitive in these parts, so I-” the woman stopped and stared, stunned and speechless for a moment.

“...Ken?”

His eyes narrowed, then widened in surprise.

“Mira?”
